According to a report by Oricon, Yuto Suzuki’s Sakamoto Days manga has hit 7 million copies in circulation as of Dec 4, 2024. This includes both digital and physical copies.
The manga had crossed the 5 million mark in May 2024. By August 2024, it had over 5.5 million copies in circulation.
The manga’s circulation numbers have jumped ever since the anime adaptation for the series was announced in May this year.
Sakamoto Days increased its circulation numbers by 3 million from November 2023 alone.
19 volumes of the manga have released till now, with Volume 20 set to release on Jan 4, 2025.
The anime adaptation is set to air on Netflix starting Jan 11, 2025. It is scheduled to release in two parts on the platform, with the first part, consisting of 11 episodes, releasing on Jan 11, 2025. A new episode will air each week.
The second part will start airing in July 2025.
Sakamoto Days is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since November 2020, with its chapters collected in 16 tankobon volumes as of April 2024.
It is simultaneously published in English by Viz Media and the Manga Plus online platform.
The manga is also getting its first ever smartphone game in Spring 2025.
