The official website of Booklive’s Magademy Award announced on Feb 15, 2023, a list of nominees for the 2022 edition of the awards. 16 characters have been selected across 4 categories, namely Best Actor Award, Best Actress Award, Best Supporting Actor Award and Best Supporting Actress Award.

Best Actress Award

- Mitsumi Iwakura (Skip and Loafer)
- Marin Kitagawa (My Dress-Up Darling)
- Hitori Goto (BOCCHI THE ROCK!)
- Maomao (The Apothecary Diaries)
- Inori Yuitsuka (Medalist)
Best Supporting Actor Award

- Haku (Yona of the Dawn)
- Meguru Bachira (BLUELOCK)
- Chifuyu Matsuno (Tokyo Revengers)
Best Supporting Actress Award

- Ai Haibara (Case Closed)
- Fern (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End)
- Raika (Don’t Call it Mystery)
In addition to the above mentioned categories, this year’s Award has introduced a new category “Rookie of the Year Award” to honor up-and-coming characters who have moved people’s hearts.
The nominations for Magademy Award 2022 were selected based on the characters recommended by fans on official site and Twitter from Dec 12, 2022, to Jan 4, 2023.
The Magademy Awards, which was established in 2021, aims to express gratitude and respect for manga characters, develop a ‘culture of praise for characters’ that transcends the boundaries of companies and positions, and assist their further progress.
