Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed two preview images in their issue #32 for part 2 of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga. The preview images feature a new character in a school uniform.
The new character can been seen holding a chainsaw in one of the preview, and facing off Chainsaw Man in the other.
Chainsaw Man Part 2 will begin serialization from Wednesday, July 13, 2022 on the Shonen Jump+ platform.
To commemorate the release of Part 2, Shonen Jump+ app will be letting users read the first two volumes of Chainsaw Man manga for free on the app till July 12, 2022.
Fujimoto debuted the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018. The first part ended in December 2020.
The manga was nominated for the 13th Manga Taisho awards in 2019, and ranked at #4 on the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2020 (This Manga Is Amazing!) guidebook’s top manga for male readers.
The manga won in the Best Shōnen Manga category at the 66th Shogakukan Manga Awards. Additionally, the manga topped the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2021 list for male readers. The manga won the Best Manga award at The Harvey Awards in October.
