The official website for Visual Industry Promotion Organization announced on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, that they have opened entry for participation project applications for Asian Animation Summit (AAS) 2022. The application deadline is till June 28, 2022, 17:00 (JST).

AAS 2022 will be held for the 11th time after a gap of 3 years as an in-person event from Nov 30 (Wednesday) -Dec 2 (Friday), in Conrad Hilton Bali, Indonesia.

Prior to the Summit, participants will have to attend the training program “Online Mentoring Session by Mentors,” which will be held between late August and November 2022.This session will train the participants to pitch effectively during the event .

Asian Animation Summit is the largest animation planning pitch event in the Asia-Oceania region as part of the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI)’s Content Overseas Expansion Promotion Project and organized by “Kidscreen Summit”, the largest industrial trade fair for kids entertainment in North America.

Due to travel restrictions and health safety issues related to COVID-19, the ninth annual Asian Animation Summit (AAS) 2020 was held virtually from Nov 16 to Dec 4, and Kidscreen Summit Virtual (online) was held in 2021.
