Jump Festa 2025 unveiled details about the upcoming one-hour anime special for Yoshifumi Tozuka’s Undead Unluck manga on Dec 21, 2024.
The event confirmed that the special will feature a completely original story penned by the author. In addition to crafting the storyline, Tozuka also designed a brand-new UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animal) for the special, named Balance.

The one-hour special is slated to premiere in winter 2025.
Undead Unluck anime, produced by TMS Entertainment and animated by David Production, aired from Oct 2023 to March 2024.
It was directed by Yuki Yase, with character designs handled by Hideyuki Morioka, and music composed by Kenichiro Suehiro.
Undead Unluck is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since January 2020, with its chapters collected in 23 tankobon volumes as of October 2024.
The series is licensed for English release in North America by Viz Media.
