Tonikaku Kawaii Manga Cumulative Circulation Exceeds 4 Million Copies

The official Twitter account for manga author Kenjiro Hata announced on May 27, 2022, that the cumulative circulation of the ongoing romantic-comedy manga, Tonikaku Kawaii, including print, digital versions, and unsold copies has exceeded 4 million copies.

Hata also revealed the cover for Volume 20, which is set to release in Japan on June 17, along with the announcement.

The volume cover also announces that the Tonikaku Kawaii-Fly Me To The Moon- anime’s second season is still in production.

The Twitter account previously revealed a new key visual and a promotional video for Tonikawa season 2. In addition to the new season announcement, an exclusive episode will be aired soon.

Returning cast Junya Enoki, Kito Akari will play Nasa Yuzaki and Tsukasa Yuzaki respectively.

Fly Me to the Moon, also known outside Japan as Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kenjiro Hata. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday since February 2018.

A twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Seven Arcs Studios, directed by Hiroshi Ikehata and scripts were written by Kazuho Hyodo, released from October 2020 to December 2020. An OVA titled Tonikaku Kawaii: SNS premiered on August 18.

The story surrounds the teen genius Nasa Yuzaki and his developing relationship with his new wife, Tsukasa, who saves him in a car accident at the beginning of the story.
