Tokyo Revengers To Hold Its First Ever Live Event On June 19

The event will take place on the same day of the formation of the infamous Toman gang at the Shibuya park as depicted in Ken Wakui's series.

The official website of the TV anime Tokyo Revengers announced on Saturday, March 26, 2022, that the franchise will launch its first live event on June 19 at Bellesalle Shibuya Garden B1 HALL C.

Voice actors Yuuki Shin (role of Takemichi Hanagaki), Yuu Hayashi (role of Manjiro Sano), Masaaki Mizunaka (role of Keisuke Baji), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (role of Takashi Mitsuya), and Sho Karino (role of Chifuyu Matsuno) will perform character songs live on stage.

The live event titled “TV Anime Tokyo Revengers 2nd Anniversary & Formation Memorial! Tokyo Manji Gang Live” will celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the first season of the TV anime announcement that took place in 2019.

Moreover, the event will take place on the same day of the formation of the infamous Toman gang. As depicted in Ken Wakui’s manga, Toman was formed on on June 19, 2003, at the Shibuya park.

In December 2021, the Tokyo Revengers franchise announced, that the anime will get a new adaptation that will cover the manga’s “Seiya Kessen” (“Christmas Showdown”) arc.

A commemorative teaser for the new arc was also released during the Tokyo Revengers event featuring the impressive scenes up to “Blood Halloween Edition”.

Tokyo Revengers is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since March 2017. A live-action film adaptation was released in Japan in July 2021.

As of January 2022, the manga had over 50 million copies in circulation. The manga won the 44th Kodansha Manga Award for the shōnen category in 2020. An anime television series adaptation by Liden Films aired from April to September 2021.
