The official website of TOHO animation announced on July 21, 2022, that it will be holding a special event, The TOHO Animation 10th Anniversary Great Thanksgiving Day, as part of its 10th anniversary celebration.
The event will be streamed online for free on TOHO’s official YouTube channel on Sep 25, 2022, to show their appreciation to all anime fans and viewers.
The live event will look back on TOHO animation’s past titles and also the ones that are lined up for the future. The program will conclude with a stage event featuring voice actors who were a part of TOHO animation’s titles in the past.
The stage event will be held at a yet unnamed location in Tokyo. Fans who want to attend the live stage in person will be drawn from lots.
Details about the voice actors attending the stage event, guest list, and other information including the schedule will be announced at a later date.
A one-year special screening event by TOHO animation x TOHO Cinemas, which started on April 2022 is currently ongoing as part of its 10th anniversary celebration. It will continue till March 2023.
Additionally, “TOHO animation 10th Anniversary Shelf” will be set up at TOHO Cinemas nationwide featuring 10th-anniversary special items, including SPY x FAMILY and Chibi Godzilla original goods will be on sale.
TOHO animation (also known as TOHO animation planning and Toho distribution ) is a Japanese animation studio founded in 2012 and owned by Toho Co., Ltd., which is one of the top three film distributors in Japan.
In April 2013, they enter large-scale animation production with Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince.
In 2016 it released the animated feature film Kimi no Na wa. It was the first movie at the box office to be associated with TOHO animation.
