According to recent reports, The Promised Neverland manga will come to an end next week with Chapter 181, in the 28th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump.
News about The Promised Neverland‘s reported ending began trending on social media after a Weekly Shonen Jump fan acc (which puts out accurate information regarding the manga) tweeted about the imminent ending of the manga.
“The Promised Neverland will end next week with Chapter 181. Volume 19 of the series is scheduled to release in July, and its final Volume 20 will be announced in the future,” the tweet read.
While the news has not been officially confirmed, Weekly Shonen Jump had earlier teased the ending of the manga by revealing that a “special project” was being planned for the manga’s ending. In August 2019, the magazine had said that The Promised Neverland manga had entered its final arc.
Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu’s The Promised Neverland manga launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in August 2016. Viz Media publishes the manga digitally and in print in North America. MANGA Plus also publishes the manga digitally in English.
The manga, which was already a favourite among the readers of the magazine, appealed to audiences worldwide after the anime adaptation premiered in January 2019. A second season of the anime is reportedly under the works and will release in January 2021.
