THE ONE PIECE Unveils First Look With New Image Board & Staff Details!

The much awaited update on WIT Studio’s One Piece anime, titled THE ONE PIECE, has been revealed during the second day of One Piece Day ’24 livestream event on Aug 11, 2024.

The staff unveiled the first look of the upcoming anime adaptation with an image board, providing fans with a preview of the reimagined world of One Piece.

Staff of THE ONE PIECE anime include:

  • Director – Masashi Koizuka
  • Assistant Director – Hideaki Abe

Wit Studio will be producing the remake anime with a completely new animation, and will start by adapting the East Blue Saga. It will be exclusively streamed on Netflix.

George Wada, CEO of WIT Studio and Production I.G, had previously said that THE ONE PIECE will address two major flaws of the ongoing adaptation in order to attract new anime fans.

One Piece is a manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, and has been serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since July 1997, with its individual chapters compiled into 109 tankobon volumes as of July 2024.
