The official website of Izumo Ito’s 4-frame manga serialized in “Manga Time Kirara Carat” (Houbunsha) “Machikado Mazoku” aka “The Demon Girl Next Door” announced today that the second season of the TV anime will premiere on the TBS channel in April 2022.

The original announcement of The Demon Girl Next Door Season 2 revealed in August 2020.

To commemorate the decision to broadcast the second season, TBS has decided to rebroadcast the first season from July 8 at 25:28 (effectively, July 9 at 1:28 a.m).

The first season of TV animation aired on TBS and others from July to September 2019. Konomi Kohara played Shamiko, Akari Kito played Peach, Minami Takahashi, Tomoyo Takayanagi and others appeared as the remaining voice actors. Hiroaki Sakurai directed, Keiichiro Ochi wrote the script and JC STAFF Produced this season.

Sentai Filmworks describes the story as:

Yuko Yoshida is just an ordinary schoolgirl — until one day the demon Lilith unleashed the dormant, devilish powers in Yuko. She transforms into Shadow Mistress Yuko, a supernatural powerhouse with horns and a devil tail. Now she must defeat another mystical being named Momo Chiyoda, the shrine maiden of the Light Clan… who just so happens to go to Yuko’s school! But being a demonic magical girl isn’t as easy as it looks, and Yuko has a whole lot to learn before she’s ready to fulfill her destiny and take on the Clan of Light.
