That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime series will have a special stage at Anime NYC on Nov 19, 2022 in order to celebrate the release of the franchise’s first movie, titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond.

The event will host a panel that will be attended by producers Kouhei Eguchi and Mika Iwahashi from the film’s animation studio, Studio Eight Bit. Bungo Kondo from Bandai Namco Filmworks will also be in attendance.

After the panel talk, a mini-concert featuring theme song performers of the movie, MindaRyn and STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION, will be held.

Fans who attend the special event will receive an exclusive sneak peek preview of the film, provided by Crunchyroll. The venue of the event is Javits Center (New York, NY USA), between 11:15 am to 1:15 pm. More details can be found on Anime NYC’s official website.

That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime: Scarlet Bond movie will release in the United States in early 2023. Crunchyroll announced that they will screen the movie in “all major global territories” (except Asia).

The movie is based on an original story scripted by the author of the light novels, Fuse. The plot will center on events after Rimuru Tempest, a slime, became a demon lord to save those close to him. It will feature an original character Hiiro.

Moviegoers in Japan will receive special bonuses, including a prequel manga. It will release in the country on Nov 25, 2022.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime light novels, also known as TenSura, are written by Fuse, and illustrated by Mitz Vah. The story is about a salaryman who is murdered and reincarnates in a sword and sorcery world as a slime with unique powers and gathers allies to build his own nation of monsters.

Nineteen volumes of the light novel have been released as of November 2021. The light novel has been licensed in North America by Yen Press, who published the first volume in December 2017.

An anime adaptation by by Eight Bit aired from October 2018 to March 2019. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 aired from January to September 2021.
