Jump Festa 2025 revealed a PV, main cast, and staff for the upcoming anime adaptation of Taizan 5’s Takopi’s Original Sin manga on Dec 22, 2024.
The PV confirms that the anime is scheduled to release in 2025.
The series will feature Kurumi Mamiya as Takopi and Reina Ueda as Shizuka Kuze.
Shinya Iino is helming the anime and overseeing the series scripts. Keita Nagahara is serving as the character designer. ENISHIYA is producing the anime.
Takopi’s Original Sin was published on Shonen Jump+ platform in 2021. The manga’s chapters were collected into 2 tankobon volumes.
It was ranked third in the Kono Manga ga Sugoi’s 2023 edition and had surpassed 1.4 million copies in circulation.
Manga Plus describes the plot of the series as follows:
Takopi travels from his home of Happy Planet to spread happiness across Earth, but meets the unsmiling Shizuka upon landing. Her friends at school and home life seem to be the source of her somber expression, and the pure-hearted Takopi is determined to change things for the better! But what truths await him when the curtains rise in this shocking drama?!
After writing Takopi’s Original Sin, Taizan 5 went on to serialize The Ichinose Family’s Deadly Sins on Weekly Shonen Jump.
