Sui Ishida, mangaka of Tokyo Ghoul, revealed on Twitter that he has finished the storyboard for his next manga. Chojin X (lit. Superhuman X) is the title of the new work. The mangaka shared images of his new work in his tweet.
The art style looks similar to the Tokyo Ghoul manga, and the second image has an eerie resemblance to Ken Kaneki in his mask (though the hairstyle is totally different).
Sui Ishida achieved fame for his work in Tokyo Ghoul. Weekly Shonen Jump serialized the manga from 2011 to 2014. The second part of the manga, Tokyo Ghoul: Re serialized from 2014 to 2018. Viz Media released the English translation of both the series.
The series is based in an alternate reality where creatures called Ghouls live amongst humans. They look and act like humans except they feed on humans. The story revolves around a young boy Ken Kaneki who accidentally ends up becoming a half-ghoul. The story focuses on Kens’ struggle to accept his new identity as a ghoul and feeding on humans. The series received critical acclamation, globally.
