Sugar Apple Fairy Tale English Dub Reveals Release Date & Voice Cast

The subbed anime started airing on Jan 6, 2023.

Crunchyroll announced on their official website that they will be streaming Sugar Apple Fairy Tale English dub on the platform starting Jan 20, 2023.

Yohei Suzuki is directing Sugar Apple Fairy Tale TV anime. The series is streaming on Crunchyroll in worldwide markets (except Asia) as part of the winter 2023 anime simulcast lineup.

Sugar Apple Fairy Tale is a shoujo romantic comedy fantasy manga written by Miri Mikawa and illustrated by Alto Yukimura. The manga is serialized by “Hana To Yume Online”. The manga was first published on Nov 9, 2012. The manga is completed and the final chapter was published on Oct 3, 2014.

MAL describes the anime plot as:

After her mother passes away, Ann decides to become a Silver Sugar Master like her mother—a highly regarded occupation in the country of Highland, where very few masters of the craft exist. Ann leaves for the town of Lewiston, where the royal family holds a sugar sculpture festival. To become a Silver Sugar Master, she has to win the top spot and receive a royal medal.

In this world, humans treat fairies as slaves and take one of their wings to control them. Ann reluctantly buys a fairy named Shall to be a bodyguard on her way to Lewiston. Ann is torn between setting Shall free, but needing a bodyguard on the dangerous roads to the festival.
