The official Twitter account of Disney+ announced on Nov 12, 2022, that the first collaboration project by Studio Ghibli with Lucasfilm, titled Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies, will be released on the Disney+ streaming platform on Nov 12, 2022, to commemorate the third anniversary of The Mandalorian series.
Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies is an original hand-drawn short animation video by Studio Ghibli.
A key visual was also revealed along with the announcement.

Studio Ghibli had posted a small video on Nov 10, on their official handle to tease a collaboration project with American production company Luscasfilm, which is known for producing the Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies.
Lucasfilm is currently a subsidiary of Walt Disney Studios. Studio Ghibli too isn’t a stranger to the Disney name, as the latter has often been a distribution partner for the anime created by Ghibli.
Studio Ghibli is currently producing a movie, helmed by Hayao Miyazaki, titled How Do You Live? It is based on a novel of the same name Yoshino Genzaburo.
The animation work of the movie began in 2016, with Miyazaki coming out of retirement. He is working on the movie for his grandson, as a way of telling him that “Grandpa is moving onto the next world soon but he is leaving behind this film”.
