Spy×Family Anime Reveals New PV, Cast, And April 2022 Premiere

The anime will be broadcast in two separate cours

The first panel of the Jump Festa 2022 event streamed a new trailer for the TV anime adaptation of Tatsuya Endō‘s SPY×FAMILY manga on Saturday, Dec 18, 2021. The promotional video revealed more cast members and the April 2022 premiere for the anime.

The panel confirmed that the anime will run for two separate cours (quarters of a year).

Atsumi Tanezaki (Dai in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, Vivy in Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song) will be voicing Anya Forger, while Saori Hayami (Rachel in Tower of God, Yamato in One Piece) will be voicing Yor Forger.

As reported earlier, Takuya Eguchi will star in the anime as Loid Forger.

Director Kazuhiro Furuhashi (Hunter x Hunter 1999, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn) will be in charge of the anime at WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks. Kazuaki Shimada (The Promised Neverland, Mahou Shoujo Nante Mouiidesukara) is in charge of character designs for the anime. (K)NoW_NAME is producing the music for the series.

Endō’s SPY x FAMILY, launched in March 2019, is serialized bi-weekly on Shonen Jump+ in Japan, with 12.5 million copies of the physical manga series currently printed as of the release of volume 8 on Nov 4 in Japan. Viz Media releases the series in English on the Shonen Jump and Manga Plus app as it comes out in Japan, as well as in physical volumes.
