The official website of Spy × Family has revealed the first promotional video for the anime’s third season, along with key changes to the production staff.
Yukiko Imai, who served as an episode director in the previous seasons, will take over as the main director for season 3, replacing Kazuhiro Furuhashi and Takahiro Harada. The animation will continue to be produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks.
Other new staff members include Yuki Takeuchi and Tomomi Sugimoto returning as art setting directors, Keita Watanabe as CG director, and Rina Koguchi as editor.
Spy × Family season 3 is set to premiere in October 2025.
Season 1 of the anime, produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliate stations in April 2022 and was licensed by Muse Communication in Asia and Crunchyroll worldwide. The second half aired from October to December 2022. The second season, continuing from 2022’s adaptation, aired from October to December 2023.
An anime film titled Spy × Family Code: White was released theatrically in Japan in December 2023.
Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo. The series has been serialized biweekly on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ application and website since March 2019, with the chapters collected in 15 tankobon volumes as of March 2025. It was licensed in North America by Viz Media.
