Spy x Family Ending Theme Crosses 2 Million Views

The video had gotten 1 million hits within 24 hours of its release.

The official twitter account for the anime Spy x Family revealed on April 26, 2022 that the credit less ending theme of anime, Kigeki, performed by Gen Hoshino has garnered more than 2 million views on YouTube.

The video, which was uploaded on April 23, 2022, after the third episode of the anime aired, has 2.4 million views at the time of writing.

The video, animated by Cloverworks Studios, had racked up a million views within 24 hours of the video releasing on YouTube.

Spy x Family‘s OP theme ‘Mixed Nuts’ performed by Official HIGE DANdism too had hit one million views within 24 hours.

Hoshino had earlier revealed that he made the ending song Kigeki while thinking about the meaning of the word “family” and the season of Spring.

“I made it while thinking about the family of Loid, Anya, and Yor of SPY x FAMILY and the meaning of the word family. While listening to the completed song, I feel that the song is very suitable for the warm coming season, with the trees growing lush and the flowers blooming,” he said.

Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo. It has been serialized biweekly on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ application and website since March 2019, with the chapters collected in nine tankōbon volumes as of April 2022. Viz Media has licensed the series for English release in North America.

An anime television series adaptation by Wit Studio and CloverWorks premiered in April 2022. New episodes drop every Saturday.

The story follows a spy who has to “build a family” to execute a mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts as a daughter and the woman he agrees to be in a fake marriage with are a mind reader and an assassin, respectively.
