Tatsuya Endo announced on his official Twitter account on Aug 8, 2023, that the release date for Spy x Family chapter 87 has been delayed.

The delay is due to various reasons, including working on the tankobon (volume), which seemed to have taken a toll on the mangaka. As a result, chapter 87 is now scheduled to release on Sep 4, 2023, although the return date remains tentative.

“I apologize for the late notice, but Chapter 86 of “SPY×FAMILY” has been updated. I forgot to mention it earlier.

Also, I’m sorry, but due to working on the tankobon (volume) and other various tasks, I’m feeling a bit tired, so there will be a hiatus. The next update will be on September 4th, probably…,” Tatsuya Endo tweeted.

An illustration of Anya was also revealed by the mangaka along with the chapter delay announcement.

Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo. The series has been serialized biweekly on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ application and website since March 2019, with the chapters collected in eleven tankobon volumes as of April 2023.

It was licensed in North America by Viz Media.

An anime television series adaptation produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliate stations in April 2022, and was licensed by Muse Communication in Asia and Crunchyroll worldwide.

The second half aired from October to December 2022. A second season is set to premiere in October 2023 and an anime film, titled Spy × Family Code: White, will release on Dec 22, 2023.
