Sony Music Labels one of the leading music companies in Japan will be holding an audition to find singer(s) for new Anime theme songs. The audition is called “X Anime Theme Song Singer Audition” and Sony Music started accepting auditions from September 8, 2022.

The “X Anime” is considered to be a code name for a new anime title. Just like the name, the rest of the details of the anime are unknown as of now. The winning participant will perform the opening theme of the unknown anime and the song will be launched by Sony Music Labels.

Sony Music Labels has various famous artists under their belt such as LiSA, Yonezu Genshi, and Nogizaka46.

The release of the work will be broadcast on CBC TV in the Chukyo area and distributed on the Lopico content platform in collaboration with a TV station in the Nagoya area.

The format for the auditions are also unique, it is part of the X Beyond -The World in 5055 project which is promoted by “MECRE” which is operated by Sony Music Labels and CHET group which develops IP.
