Sentai Filmworks Acquires Exclusive Rights To Stream MBS’ Anime Slate On HIDIVE

HIDIVE announced on their official Twitter account that the American entertainment company Sentai Filmworks has sealed a major deal with Japanese television broadcasting company MBS to exclusively stream their future anime content on HIDIVE platform.

According to the company, this is the biggest ever partnership deal that they made and it comes with anime titles that are adaptations of popular manga and light novels.

As a part of this HIDIVE will stream anime adaptation of The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior light novel series. It is set to premiere in July 2023.

More titles that will be streamed owing to the partnership will be revealed soon.

Director of MBS Shinji Nakano also joined the celebration saying, “In recent years, anime has become a solid representative of Japanese culture and has gained fans all over the world. We are pleased to partner with Sentai Filmworks, HIDIVE and AMC Networks, a group that plays a huge part in this effort to further expand anime culture,”

Sentai Filmworks, LLC (or simply Sentai), is an American entertainment company owned by AMC Networks. Located in Houston, the company specializes in the dubbing and distribution of Japanese animation and Asian cinema

AMC Networks acquired Sentai Filmworks’ parent company Sentai Holdings, LLC, and all its assets and subsidiaries, including Hidive, Anime Network, and “member interests” from the Cool Japan Fund on Jan 5, 2002.
