Sekai Bunka Books Launches Comic Carla Manga Website

Comic Carla showcases a collection of manga stories that can be enjoyed by both children and adults, with a main focus on 4th to 6th grade students.

Sekai Bunka Books, part of Sekai Bunka Holdings Co., Ltd launched a new web manga website title “Comic Carla (Carula)” on Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Comic Carla showcases a collection of manga stories that can be enjoyed by both children and adults, with a main focus on 4th to 6th grade students. All manga titles will be updated on the first and third Thursdays of every month.

Yasuhiko Takata’s Hoppo no ga Eizen-kun, Hiroshi Ichikawa’s Dekanekoji-san and I, and
Leo Sumino’s That happened to be Enma Pontama-kun are live for the readers.

One-shots such as Oshikatsu-hatsukoi wa saioshito– by Amane Sakura, Kikuchi Daigo’s Owarai Tarento Produce and Tagane and Loupe by Yururuman are also available online.

More titles like “Pandora” by Atsunori Takano, “I’ll become the chief of an elementary school cafe!” by Nana Matsuoka, and many others will be added to the library in the future.

Comic Carla

The company logo and name is inspired by “Karura (Garuda)”, the king of birds that appears in Indian mythology and also the guardian deity of Buddhist law. It also resembles “Kids Manga Shimbun”, the predecessor of Sekai Bunka’s company emblem, a chicken.

The logo is used for the site with the hope of protecting children from evil things.

Sekai Bunka Publishing Inc. publishes magazines and books. The company mainly edits, publishes, and distributes periodicals for women, men, and children, as well as books related to Japanese history, tea ceremony, kimono, traditional events, flower, and cooking. Sekai Bunka Publishing also conducts educational items for early childhood and mail-order businesses.

Ikuzo Suzuki established Sekai Bunka Gaho Co., Ltd. in February 1946 , and Sekai Bunka Co., Ltd. was established in November 1954.
