Satoshi Mizukami’s Sengoku Youko manga will be getting an anime adaptation. An official website, launched as a part of the adaptation, revealed its release date, trailer, cast members and staff on Aug 10, 2023.
According to the website, Sengoku Youko anime is scheduled to release in January 2024, and will run for 3 cours.
A trailer and key visual were also unveiled to commemorate the announcement.
The title logo for the anime adaptation, which is featured in the visual, was created by the renowned calligrapher Kenshin.
Cast members include:
- Soma Saito as Jinka
- Yuki Takada as Tama
- Ryohei Kimura as Shinsuke
- Tomoyo Kurasawa as Shakugan
- Hiroki Nanami as Senya
- Maaya Uchida as Tsukiko
Masahiro Aizawa will be directing the anime adaptation, with Jukki Hanada handling the script. Yosuke Okuda will serve as the character designer, and Evan Call will compose the music.
WHITE FOX studio will be handling the animation production.
Sengoku Youko is a Japanese manga written by Satoshi Mizukami. It started serialization in 2007 in Mag Garden’s Comic Blade, then moved to Comic Garden in 2008.
The manga ended in 2016. It has been collected in 17 tankobon volumes.
