The official site of Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu), launched a teaser for the second season of the anime. The teaser focused on Mizuhara Chizuru, the female lead of the series. At the end of the teaser, the release date and timing of the second season were displayed, which is July 2, 2022 at 1:25 AM in Japan.
Along with the teaser, a new date visual of Mizuhara was also released. In the date visual, Mizuhara is seen wearing her school uniform with an amusement park as the backdrop. She is seen offering sweets to Kazuya and begins with the phrase, “Don’t be shy, I’ll go out with you today“.

The cast Of the series includes
- Sora Amamiya as Chizuru Mizuhara.
- Aoi Yuuki as Mami Nanami
- Nao Touyama as Ruka Sarashina.
- Rie Takahashi as Sumi Sakurasawa.
- Shun Horie as Kazuya Kinoshita.
The following staff members are working on the anime;
- Kazuomi Koga ( Rainy Cocoa , Welcome to Rainy Color ) is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment in collaboration with Studio Comet .
- Mitsutaka Hirota ( Anime-Gataris , Nanbaka , The Prince of Tennis II ) is writing and supervising the scripts.
- Kanna Hirayama ( Yakusoku no Neverland , Sword Art Online: Alicization , Maou-sama , Retry! ) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
- HYADAIN ( One Punch Man , Kuroko no Basket , Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu ) is composing the soundtrack.
Kanojo, Okarishimasu (Kanokari), written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima, was first published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine in July 2017.
The manga has exceeded 10 million copies in circulation.
