Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama is set to hit the theatres in India on Jan 24, 2025. This was confirmed by the film’s distributor Geek Pictures India on Jan 8, 2024, on their official social media platforms.
According to the distributor, the release will feature 4K visuals, improved audio, and newly recorded dubs in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, along with the original English version.

The film is distributed across India by Geek Pictures India, alongside AA Films, and Excel Entertainment.
The film has been remastered under the guidance of renowned screenwriter V. Vijayendra Prasad, known for his work on the Baahubali and RRR.
Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama is a 1993 animated film, directed by Yugo Sako, Ram Mohan, and Koichi Sasaki.
The original English version with Sanskrit songs was worked on by teams from both Japan and India, and was screened for the first time at 24th International Film Festival of India, New Delhi, Jan 10–20, 1993. The film was also shown at the 1993 Vancouver International Film Festival.
Subsequently, a Hindi dubbed version was released in the late 1990s, which featured voice talents such as Arun Govil as Ram, Namrata Sawhney as Sita, and the late Amrish Puri as Raavan, with veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha serving as the narrator.
