Overlord Season IV To Have 13 Episodes

The season IV of the anime will be releasing on July 5, 2022.

The official website of Overlord anime announced details about the Blu-ray and DVD of its upcoming season on July 5, 2022, revealing that Season 4 of the anime will have 13 episodes in total. The episodes will be bifurcated in 3 separate DVD and Blu-ray releases.

The first DVD and Blu-Ray releasing on Oct 26, 2022 will feature episodes 1 to 5, scheduled for about 121 minutes in the main story + bonus video. It will also include Chibi character animation “Pure Ple Pleiades 4,” Non-credit OP, Non-credit ED, and a Special notice.

In addition, it’ll also include Special three-sided case, Character design, Digipak drawn by Satoshi Tazaki, Special soundtrack CD, Storyboard for reduced edition Episode 1, and a Special leaflet.

The second DVD and Blu-ray will release on Nov 25, 2022 and will feature episodes 6-9, scheduled for about 97 minutes of the main story + bonus video. It will include Chibi character animation “Pure Ple Pleiades 4,” PV Collection and a special notice.

Also, it’ll come with Special three-sided case, Character design, Digipak drawn by Satoshi Tazaki, Special voice drama CD, Storyboard of reduced edition Episode 9, and a Special leaflet.

The third DVD and Blu-ray will release on Dec 23, 2022, it’ll feature episodes from 10 to 13 scheduled for about 97 minutes of the main story + bonus video. It’ll also include, Chibi character animation “Pure Ple Pleiades 4,” Bansen / CM collection, and a Special notice.

Along with these it’ll include, Special three-sided case, Character design, Digipak drawn by Satoshi Tazaki, Character design, whole volume storage box drawn by Satoshi Tazaki, Complete setting reference materials “World Guide IV”, Storyboard Episode 13, and a Special leaflet.

All the 3 DVD and Blu-ray are distributed by Kadokawa Co., Ltd. and are sold by Showgate.

The season IV of the anime will be releasing today, July 5, 2022.

The staff reprising their roles are Satoshi Hino as Ains Ooal Gown, Yumi Hara as Albedo, Sumire Uesaka as Shalltear Bloodfallen, Emiri Kato as Aura Bella Fiora, Yumi Uchiyama as Mare Bello Fiore, Masayuki Katou as Demiurge, and Kenta Miyake as Cocytus.

Along with the returning voice cast, Naoyuki Itou is reprising his role as director at Madhouse Studio. Yuki Sugawara will also be reprising the role of writer and series script supervisor, along with Satoshi Tasaki returning as character designer.

The illustrator of the series, so-bin, has stated that the 10th volume of the novel is being adapted in this season, which the illustrator enjoys.

The series also has a film underway that will focus on the Sei Okoku-hen (Holy Kingdom arc) from the novels.

The original light novel series began in 2010. It was written by Kugane Maruyama. Kadokawa’s Enterbrain began printing and publishing the series in 2012 which consisted of illustration by so-bin.

Yen Press releases the novel in North America. It also releases the manga adaptation by Hugin Miyama and Satoshi Oshio.
