One Piece anime has dropped a new trailer, offering a first look at the highly anticipated continuation of the Egghead arc.
Released on March 24, 2025, the trailer not only previews the upcoming episodes but also introduces the anime’s latest opening theme song, Tenshi to Akuma (Angels and Demons) by GRe4N BOYZ.
GRe4N BOYZ shared their excitement, stating, “Everyone!!!! Did you see it?! Did you witness it?! The story continues, and it’s finally restarting! The joy and pressure of being entrusted with such a significant moment… But above all, we want this song to bring happiness to everyone. The adventure continues, and so do the exciting days ahead. One Piece anime series went on a hiatus in October 2024.
The anime is scheduled to resume airing new episodes on April 6, 2025, and will also be moving to a new time slot, airing on Sundays at 11:15 p.m. JST on Fuji TV.
During the hiatus, fans were treated to a special edited version of the Fish-Man Island Arc, which featured reshot scenes, and retouched art. This version had condensed the original 57 episodes into 21 episodes, with updates to the animation quality.
The official YouTube channel of the One Piece franchise also released a surprise five-minute anime original episode featuring Monkey D. Luffy and Trafalgar Law in January 2025.
One Piece is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation that premiered on Fuji TV in October 1999. It is based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga series of the same name.
Since its premiere in Japan, more than 1,000 episodes have been aired.
Additionally, Toei has developed fourteen animated feature films, one original video animation, and thirteen television specials.
One Piece manga series, written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, has been serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since July 1997.
