One Piece Staff Reveal Special Website For One Piece Day Celebration

More information regarding One Piece day celebrations will be revealed on a further date.

The official twitter account of Eiichiro Oda’s staff unveiled a new special website for One Piece Day in their tweet on June 9, 2022. One Piece Day is celebrated on July 22, 2022, to commemorate the release of the first chapter of One Piece manga on July 22, 1997.

The special website (onepiece-day.com/en) currently has a single page with a key visual featuring Luffy and a countdown which shows the number of days left till One Piece Day arrives.

It calls forth all One Piece fans, promising everything related to One Piece, including manga anime, movies and games will be available at one place during the One Piece Day celebration. The website also asks fans to stay tuned for the “ONE PIECE DAY” worldwide streaming event on YouTube, which is planned for July 22 and July 23.

More information regarding One Piece Day celebrations is set to be revealed on a further date.

It was earlier revealed that the One Piece Film: Red movie will have its world premiere on July 22 as part of the One Piece day celebrations. A stage event, attended by Mayumi Tanaka, Luffy’s VA, and other cast members who voice the Straw Hat Pirates, will also be held prior to the premiere of the movie.

One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 1997, with its individual chapters compiled into 102 tankōbon volumes as of April 2022.

One Piece was the best-selling manga for eleven consecutive years from 2008 to 2018 and is the only manga that had an initial print of volumes of above 3 million continuously for more than 10 years, as well as the only one that had achieved more than 1 million copies sold in all of its 100 published tankōbon volumes.

July 22 was established as an official anniversary by the Japan Anniversary Association in 2017.
