Anime Limited revealed to ANN that the One Piece Film Red movie has earned £500,000 in UK and Ireland in its opening weekend.
The movie released on November 4 in both the countries.
A giant straw hat that Luffy wears in One Piece, was erected outside the King’s Cross station in London in order to commemorate the release of One Piece Film: Red in the UK on Nov 4, 2022.

The straw hat was erected on a podium which had the posters of the movie slapped on it.
According to Anime Limited’s official twitter account, Film Red is already the biggest One Piece film in UK’s history after its opening night.
The movie also opened in the United States on the same day, with it’s preview screening alone earning $1.7 million in the country. The movie also earned $10 million dollars in its opening weekend in North America.
One Piece Film Red also grabbed the first spot in Germany on its opening day, as over 100,000 people flocked to the theatres to watch it.
The movie opened in Japan on Aug 6, 2022, collecting over 2 billion yen in its first weekend.
Goro Taniguchi returns to the franchise for the first time since 1998 to direct One Piece Film: Red. Tsutomu Kuroiwa will be in charge of the screenplay. TOEI Animation is animating the film with original author Eiichiro Oda serving as executive producer.

The movie features and centers on the mysterious character Uta, who is teased to be Shanks daughter in the teaser. Uta is voiced by Kaori Nazuka (voice cast) and Ado (singing cast).
