The official Twitter account of One Piece announced on Oct 8, 2023, that Junichi Suwabe has been cast to voice the character Admiral Ryokugyu in the anime.

He will make his debut as Ryokugyu’s voice actor in the upcoming episode 1079, scheduled to release on Oct 15, 2023.

The late voice actor Keiji Fujiwara, who passed away at the age of 55 in 2020, had previously voiced the character.

One Piece is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation that premiered on Fuji TV in October 1999. It is based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga series of the same name.

Since its premiere in Japan, over 1000 episodes have been aired, and later exported to various countries around the world.
