A primary concern among fans regarding My Dress Up Darling‘s impending ending is its timing. This is due to the fact that the central characters, Gojo and Marin, have just begun their romantic relationship.

This was seen as a major drawback for the series in cementing its place as a classic. Netizens pointed out that romance manga that stood the test of time, often explored the romantic relationships of their main characters in depth.

Numerous fans believed that My Dress Up Darling‘s storyline could have been extended for at least another two to three years to do something similar. This included seeing how Gojo and Marin would evolve as a couple, with some hoping to witness significant milestones in their relationship.

The suddenness of the announcement has also raised questions about the author’s well-being. Some attributed the premature ending to Fukuda probably having health related issues. However, no official announcements of such sort have been made yet.
