Netflix India is simulcasting the lately trending Blue Lock anime and season 6 of My Hero Academia. In addition to that, the streaming giant has also acquired rights for streaming the original 1997 Berserk anime series and season 1 of Re:Zero.

The Blue Lock series has been trending lately due to the reference used in the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Only the most self-centered player can be the best striker in the world! In order to create a better soccer team for Japan to win the World Cup, a project called BLUE LOCK is launched to cultivate strikers. Three hundred talented strikers from high schools all over Japan are isolated and pitted against each other. Fighting against 299 other young soccer players, who would finally earn the right to become the national team’s striker? Now, the most exciting soccer anime begins.

The ending theme, titled “WINNER,” is performed by Shugo Nakamura. Blue Lock anime made its debut on Oct 8, 2022 in Japan.

The anime adaptation is being done by Eight Bit studio and directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe with Shunsuke Ishikawa serving as assistant director.

Music will be provided by Jun Murayama, Taku Kishimoto is handling series composition and the script, Masaru Shindō is providing the main character designs and serve as chief animation director, and Hisashi Tojima serving as the chief action director.

Blue Lock is a Japanese manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It has been serialized in Kodansha‘s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since August 2018. A spin-off manga focusing on Seishiro Nagi has also started serialization in the July issue of Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine.

Blue Lock won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2021.

Whereas, Kentarou Miura first published a one-shot version of Berserk manga in Hakusensha’s Monthly Comicomi magazine in 1988. He later launched the Berserk manga in Hakusensha’s Monthly Animal House magazine in 1989 which later continued in Young Animal magazine till date.

The manga has 40 million plus copies in circulation.

The manga further inspired a TV anime series in 1997 and a trilogy of movies from 2012 to 2013. A re-edited version of the Berserk: Golden Age Arc trilogy movies will be broadcast on TV as ‘Berserk: Golden Age Arc Memorial Edition‘ in 2022. It will be first time the trilogy will be broadcast on TV.

The first season of Re:Zero anime aired in 2016. The series was directed by Masaharu Watanabe and written by Masahiro Yokotani, with animation by studio White Fox. Kyuta Sakai served as both character designer and as chief animation director.

The season had 25 episodes, with the first episode being 50 mins long.

Yusuke Kobayashi and Rie Takahashi voiced the main characters Subaru and Emilia in the anime, whereas Inori Minase voiced the maid Rem.
