MyAnimeList and Honeyfeed have announced the launch of “MyAnimeList x Honeyfeed Writing Contest 2025 – NOVELOUS Worlds,” on Feb 11, 2025.
The contest is part of a collaboration with Shogakukan’s newly launched light novel app, NOVELOUS, where writers worldwide are invited to craft original stories based on two themes:
1. Love Transcends Boundaries — Explore the power of love to overcome cultural barriers and obstacles, highlighting bonds that defy the odds.
2. The End is Now — Dive into a world on the brink of destruction, where humanity has only one year left—how will people respond to the ultimate countdown?
The novel must be written in English.
Submissions will be hosted on Honeyfeed from Feb 11, 2025, to May 7, 2025. Following this, a panel of judges will select finalists, and fan voting will take place on NOVELOUS from June 23 to July 24, 2025.
The winning entries will be announced on Aug 4, 2025.
The contest offers three grand prizes of $3,000 each:
- Most Voted “Love Transcends Boundaries” Entry: $3,000
- Most Voted “The End is Now” Entry: $3,000
- Judges’ Choice Award: $3,000
Winning stories will be featured on the NOVELOUS app.
