The official website for My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex (Mamahaha no Tsurego ga Moto Kano Datta) released a commercial on June 1, 2022, revealing that the TV anime will premiere in Japan on July 6.

The anime will be broadcast on AT-X and Tokyo MX on July 6, on BS NTV and MBS on July 9, and on BS Fuji on July 12.

The video features the anime’s opening song titled “Deneb and Spica” by DIALOGUE+.

The show will also have an advanced screening of episodes 1 & 2. A talk show will be held on June 26, 2022, at Shinjuku Baltic 9 in Tokyo. Voice actors Hiro Shimono, Rina Hidaka, Ikumi Hasegawa, Nobuhiko Okamoto, and Miyu Tomita will be in attendance.

My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex is a Japanese romantic comedy light novel series written by Kyōsuke Kamishiro and illustrated by Takayaki. The series began serialization on the online novel website Kakuyomu in August 2017, with a print version beginning publication under Kadokawa Shoten’s Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint in December 2018.

The light novel is licensed digitally in North America by J-Novel Club. A manga adaptation by Rei Kusakabe began serialization online by Fujimi Shobo via Niconico Seiga website as part of the Dra Dra Sharp and Dra Dra Flat brands in May 2019.
