Jump Festa 2025 announced on Dec 22, 2024, that My Hero Academia‘s spinoff manga, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, by Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court is getting an anime adaptation.
The series will premiere in April 2025.
Kenichi Suzuki, known for his work on Cells at Work! and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, will serve as the director at BONES FILM, with Yosuke Kuroda in charge of series scripts. Takahiko Yoshida will handle the character designs. Yuki Hayashi, alongside Shōgo Yamashiro and Yuki Furuhashi will compose the music.
Additional staff includes:
- Yukihiro Watanabe as art director
- Haruko Nobori as color designer
- Yingying Zhang as director of photography
- Mizuki Sasaki as 3DCG director
- Kiyoshi Hirose as editor
- Masafumi Mima as sound director
Accompanying the announcement were a teaser trailer and visual.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is a Japanese manga series written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court. It is both a spin-off and a prequel to Kohei Horikoshi’s manga series My Hero Academia.
It was serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Giga in August 2016, but was transferred to Shueisha’s online magazine, Shōnen Jump+, in October of the same year, with its chapters additionally collected in 15 tankobon volumes.
