The 13th episode of My Hero Academia season 7 will not be airing as scheduled on Aug 10, 2024, due to the broadcast of the Paris Olympics.
The new release date for the episode has been set for Aug 17, 2024.
The official X account of My Hero Academia revealed a statement regarding the delay. In the mean time, the staff encouraged the fans to head to the theatres to catchup on the latest film in the franchise, My Hero Academia: You’re Next.
“Due to the Olympic broadcast, the TV airing of My Hero Academia Season 7 will be on break tomorrow, Saturday, August 10th. So instead, why not head to the theaters to watch My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: #YourNext? The movie features an original story overseen by Horikoshi-sensei, packed with the drama and battles only the big screen can deliver! Let’s enjoy the My Hero Academia anime together at the cinema!“
My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: You’re Next hit the Japanese theatres on Aug 2, 2024 and earned 890 million yen in revenue in the Japanese box office and attracted 608,000 viewers within the first three days of its release.
My Hero Academia season 7 started airing on May 4, 2024, and will run for 21 episodes.
Naomi Nakayama is serving as the director for the seventh season.
My Hero Academia is a manga series written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from July 2014 to Aug 2024, with its chapters collected into 41 tankobon volumes as of August 2024.
It has also been adapted into an anime series by Bones.
The first season aired in Japan from April to June 2016, followed by a second season from April to September 2017, then a third season from April to September 2018, a fourth season from October 2019 to April 2020, a fifth season from March to September 2021, a sixth season from October 2022 to March 2023.
