My Hero Academia Season 6 To Run For 2 Cours

My Hero Academia Season 6 will start airing from Oct 1, 2022.

The official website of My Hero Academia anime announced on Sep 24, 2022, that the upcoming season 6 will run for two consecutive cours.

In addition to this, Deku’s voice actor, Daiki Yamashita has a special message for all the MHA fans who are looking forward to season 6, asking everyone to Plus Ultra more than ever!

“The sixth season of My Hero Academia has finally begun!
The bonds, the ties, and the feelings that have been built up until the 5th season are about to collide!
To be honest, it’s heavy! LOL!
That’s why I try my best every time so that I can never forget it!
Perhaps it is not only me, but all the other cast members and staff as well!
For the 6th season of Heroaca, I want you all to Plus Ultra more than ever… and… and…
Let’s get through it together!”

The website also revealed a new CM for the series on Sep 24.

It was previously revealed during the Hero Fes 2022 even in Tokyo that the My Hero Academia Season 6 will start airing from Oct 1, 2022. The sixth season will be broadcast every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. JST on Yomiuri TV and NTV 29 stations nationwide.

Crunchyroll will also be streaming My Hero Academia Season 6 in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania and CIS in October 2022.

Like the previous seasons, Studio Bones is in charge of animating the series. My Hero Academia Season 6 will adapt the war arc from the manga.

The cast from previous seasons will also be reprising their role in My Hero Academia Season 6. The new opening theme song, “Hitamuki” will be performed by SUPER BEAVER.

My Hero Academia is a manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters collected into 33 tankōbon volumes as of February 2022. The series has numerous spin-off manga, including My Hero Academia: Smash!!, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes and My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions.

The manga received a TV anime adaptation by Studio Bones. Its first season aired in Japan from April to June 2016, followed by a second season from April to September 2017, third season from April to September 2018, fourth season from October 2019 to April 2020, and a fifth season from March to September 2021.

It has also received three animated films, titled My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, and My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission respectively. There are plans for a live-action film by Legendary Entertainment.

As of January 2022, the manga had over 65 million copies in circulation worldwide.
