Muse Asia announced on its Instagram account that the long‐requested Hindi dub of the popular anime Hunter × Hunter (2011 version) will debut soon on the Muse India YouTube channel.
The post, which featured a teaser image and the caption “A much requested Hindi dub is coming soon to Muse India YouTube channel!! Can you guess which title??”, spurred excitement among fans who quickly identified the series.
The release date of Hunter × Hunter anime’s dub however has not been announced.
The streaming platform, which previously aired the anime on its main Muse Asia channel in May 2023 and on Muse India in June the same year, is now set to broaden its audience with the Hindi dub.
The move comes as part of an ongoing trend among digital broadcasters to cater to regional audiences by offering anime in local languages.
Hunter × Hunter is based on the manga by Yoshihiro Togashi and follows young Gon Freecss on his quest to become a Hunter after learning that his father, Ging, is alive.
The series has seen two major television adaptations. The original adaptation, produced by Nippon Animation, aired 62 episodes on Fuji Television from Oct 16, 1999 to March 31, 2001, while a reboot produced by Madhouse ran for 148 episodes on Nippon TV from October 2011 to September 2014.
