More Information On Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 To Release On September 18

The official website of Jujutsu Kaisen anime announced that more information on Season 2 of the anime will be revealed on Sep 18, 2022 in a special program.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is set to air sometime in 2023.

The special will air a week after final episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 has been rebroadcast in the same slot, between 5:00 – 5:30 p.m, on MBS and TBS channels nationwide in Japan.

Additional details for the special program, including guests and the program content will be updated soon.

Additionally, a new rebroadcast visual for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 was also revealed by the official website. The visual features the protagonists Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushuguro and Nobara Kugisaki.

The anime started rebroadcasting on 28 MBS/TBS channels from April 3, 2022. The rebroadcast also included weekly audio commentary by the voice actors. Junya Enoki and Junichi Suwabe provided the voice commentary for Episode 1 of season one rebroadcast.

The 24 episode season one originally aired from October 2020 to March 2021.

A movie adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen prequel, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 premiered in Japan in December 2021. It had crossed the 10 billion yen mark in Japanese box office in 43 days, earning about 10,456,322,400 yen (about US$90.6 million) from 7,603,732 tickets on its 45th day.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It is currently being serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018. The Jujutsu Kaisen chapters are collected and published by Shueisha, with 20 tankōbon volumes released as of August 2022.

The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host.
