The official website of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury revealed on Nov 29, 2022, that Yume Miyamoto has been replaced as the voice cast for the role of Nika Nanaura in the anime.

Haruka Shiraishi will voice the character from the 10th episode of the anime.

Earlier this month, Gekidan Himawari, the talent agency of which Miyamoto is a part of, had revealed that the actress will be taking a brief hiatus from her activities due to her poor health condition. She had been feeling unwell since the end of October, and the agency had prioritized Miyamoto’s treatment.

Details about the illness have not been made public.

The first cour of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From The Mercury anime started airing from Oct 2, 2022. It will air till December 2022, while the second cour will start airing from April 2023.

Kana Ichinose and Lynn are voicing the two main characters, Suletta Mercury and Miorine Rembrandt respectively.

A.S. (Ad Stella) 122―

An era when a multitude of corporations have entered space and built a huge economic system.
A lone girl from the remote planet Mercury transfers to the Asticassia School of Technology,
run by the Beneritt Group which dominates the mobile suit industry.

Her name is Suletta Mercury.
With a scarlet light burning in her pure heart,
this girl walks step by step through a new world.

Along with her role in Gundam, Miyamoto has also voiced characters in Josee, The Tiger and The Fish, Blue Period and SSSS. Gridman. She was also cast in the upcoming Hikari no Ou anime.
