The short film project of Lycoris Recoil anime has just received its first major update since its announcement on July 23, 2024.
The title, key visual, and details about the staff were revealed during the special program LycoReco Produce: Okinawa Event Commemorative Stream on Jan 18, 2025.
Titled Lycoris Recoil: Friends Are Thieves Of Time, it will take place in Café LycoReco, featuring new day-to-day adventures of Chisato Nishikigi, Takina Inoue, and other characters.
Under the supervision of Lycoris Recoil’s original scriptwriter, Shingo Adachi, it was previously revealed that each episodes will feature different creators handling direction and storyboarding.
Imigimuru, who wrote the script for the original anime, also returned to pen the script for one of the episodes.

The release dates are yet to be revealed.
Lycoris Recoil anime was produced by A-1 Pictures and aired from July 2 to Sep 24, 2022. Crunchyroll simulcasted the anime and also streamed its English Dub.
A manga adaptation by Yasunori Bizen began serialization in Media Factory’s manga magazine Monthly Comic Flapper on Sep 5, 2022, and a spin-off light novel, titled Lycoris Recoil: Ordinary Days by Asaura was published under ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko on Sep 9, 2022.
