The official X account of Laid-Back Camp announced the production of the fourth season of the anime series on Nov 9, 2024.
An illustration and a comment from the series’ original creator, Afro, were released alongside the announcement.
The new illustration features characters Ema Mizunami and Mei Nakatsugawa, who appeared in season 3.

Afro expressed excitement for the new season, hinting that the storylines of Ema Mizunami and Mei Nakatsugawa, who only appeared briefly in season 3 due to limited episodes, will be further explored in season 4.
The author also teased the return of a “fluffy white thing” in their comment.
“Thank you for the decision to produce Laid-Back Camp Δ Season 4! In SEASON 3, the two new students could only make a brief appearance due to the limited number of episodes, but in SEASON 4, their story should be fully explored, so please look forward to it! And that fluffy white thing will make a return…“
Laid-Back Camp season 3, titled Yuru Camp△ SEASON3, aired from April 4 to June 20, 2024.
For the 3rd season, the animation production studio was shifted from C-Station to Eight Bit.
Studio C-Station worked on the first two seasons of the anime along with an anime film adaptation.
With the change in production company, the main staff members had also been renewed in season 3. Shin Tosaka served as the new director, with Masafumi Sugiura in charge of series composition.
Hisanori Hashimoto handled character design. However, the music composer Akiyuki Tateyama and sound director Takeshi Takadera had reprised their roles.
Season 1 of the anime aired from January to March 2018; the anime was co-financed and licensed by Crunchyroll. A short anime spin-off, titled Room Camp, aired from January to March 2020. A second anime season aired from January to April 2021, and an anime film premiered on July 1, 2022.
A live action drama series aired in Japan from January to March 2020, and a second drama season aired from April to June 2021.
Laid-Back Camp is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Afro. Set in and around Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, the series chronicles the adventures of Rin Shima, Nadeshiko Kagamihara, and their friends as they travel to various campsites across the country.
The manga was first serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine from July 2015 to February 2019 until it was transferred to the publisher website and app for manga called Comic Fuz. It has been collected in sixteen tankobon volumes.
