Laid-Back Camp Anime Movie Unveils New Trailer, OP & ED Theme & Plot

A pre-screening and stage greetings will be held on June 19.

The official website for the TV anime Laid-Back Camp Δ revealed its first trailer on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, featuring grown-up Nadeshiko, Rin, Chiaki, Aoi, and Ena reuniting to construct a campsite. The trailer revealed the opening and ending themes as well as the plot of the movie.

The opening song was performed by Asaka titled “Sun Is Coming Up,” while Eri Sasaki performed the ending theme, “Mimosa”. The Movie “Yurucamp △” Original Soundtrack will be released on June 29

The movie is a sequel to the anime and it is described as:

Rin Shima left her hometown of Yamanashi, got a job at a small publishing company in Nagoya, and lived alone. One weekend, when she was planning a tour, her high school friend Chiaki Ogaki suddenly sent a message. “I’m in Nagoya now”.

Chiaki, who works for the Tourism Promotion Organization in Yamanashi, was in charge of the redevelopment plan for the facility that was closed a few years ago.

“If it’s such a large site, we can use it as a campsite.” Chiaki was moved from such a casual word from Rin.

Nadeshiko Kakamigahara working at an outdoor store in Tokyo, Aoi Inuyama who became an elementary school teacher in Yamanashi, and Ena Saito working at a trimming salon in Yokohama, former campsite friends gather and the campsite development plan starts.

The character designs for the five campers are as follows:

Furthermore, a pre-screening and stage greetings will be held on June 19 at Shinjuku Piccadilly, Tokyo. It will be broadcasted at 15 theatres nationwide for live viewing.

Four main cast members namely Nadeshiko (Yumiri Hanamori), Rin (Nao Toyama), Chiaki (Sayuri Hara), and Aoi (Aki Toyosaki) will be in attendance.

The movie is set to open on July 1, 2022, in Japan.

Filmgoers would receive a special 24-page volume 13.5 of the manga by original author Afro titled “Rin to Nadeshiko no Inagako Haru Camp (Rin and Nadeshiko’s Spring Camp at Inaga Lake).

C-Station Studios is animating the film which will be directed by Yoshiaki Kyougoku. Character designs are handled by Mutsumi Sasaki, while the screenplay is written by Mutsumi Ito and Jin Tanaka.

Laid-Back Camp, also known in Japan as Yuru Camp, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Afro. The manga was first serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine from July 2015 to February 2019 until it was transferred to the publisher’s website and app for manga called Comic Fuz. It has been collected in thirteen tankōbon volumes. The manga is licensed in North America by Yen Press.

An anime television series adaptation by C-Station aired in Japan from January to March 2018; the anime was co-financed and licensed by Crunchyroll. A short anime spin-off, titled Room Camp, aired from January to March 2020.

A live-action drama series aired in Japan from January to March 2020, and a second drama season aired from April to June of 2021. A second anime season aired from January to April 2021.
