The official website and Twitter account for the television anime Komi Can’t Communicate (Comi-san wa Comyushō desu.) announced on Thursday, Dec 23, 2022, that the series will get a second season in April 2022. Netflix revealed on Twitter that it will stream the second part in 2022.
A Twitter post on Wednesday, Dec 22, 2021, started the rumors about Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 being in production.
The website and account will reveal more information on the second season at a later date.
The first season of the anime premiered on Oct 6, 2021. The anime aired for 12 episodes.
Tomohito Oda‘s Komi-san wa, Komyushō Desu serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday since May 2016, with its chapters collected in twenty-three tankōbon volumes as of October 2021. Komi Can’t Communicate also won AnimeJapan’s 2020 poll for the manga fans most wanted to see adapted into an anime.
An eight-episode live-action television drama adaptation was broadcast from September to November 2021, and an anime television series adaptation by OLM premiered in October till December of the same year. The series is licensed by Netflix for worldwide streaming.
Netflix debuted the anime outside of Japan on Oct 21, two weeks after its Japanese premiere, with weekly new episodes.
