Kodansha’s digital manga platform, K MANGA, has officially expanded to eight new countries, including India, offering fans access to a vast library of manga titles.
The app is now available in the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mexico, and Brazil alongside India.
Initially launched in the U.S. in May 2023, K MANGA expanded to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore in October 2024.
The K MANGA app offers a mix of completed and ongoing series, including over 500 manga series in English, with around 100 ongoing titles updated simultaneously with their release in Japan.
Readers can access popular manga like Attack on Titan, Tokyo Revengers, and Fairy Tail through a daily ticket system, allowing free chapter access, though some ongoing series may have restrictions.
Kodansha’s expansion reflects the rising demand for Japanese manga among English-speaking audiences. The company’s overseas manga sales have surged in recent years, driven by the global success of titles like Attack on Titan and Tokyo Revengers.
The company has also revealed plans to continue expanding K MANGA into additional regions in the future.
