The total number of copies in circulation of Aka Akasaka’s Kaguya-Sama Love Is War manga’s has exceeded 22 million.

The volume 28 and the official fan book were released on December 19, 2022.

New Key visuals for the volume were also released.

To commemorate the release of volume 28 and the official fan book, the official YouTube channel of Aniplex revealed a 11-minute long video for Kaguya Sama: Love Is War anime on Dec 9, 2022.

The video essentially looks back on all three seasons of Kaguya Sama anime, giving fans a timely reminder of what transpired, before the frachise’s upcoming movie release.

The upcoming movie, which is also the first ever movie in the Kaguya Sama franchise, is titled, Kaguya sama wa Kokurasetai: First Kiss wa Owaranai (Kaguya-sama: Love is War: The First Kiss Never Ends).

The official site describes the film as:

Vice-president Kaguya Shinomiya and student council president Miyuki Shirogane met at Shuchiin Academy’s student council . After a long love battle, the two geniuses communicated their feelings to each other and kissed for the first time at the Annual Cultural Festival. However, they have not reached a clear confession yet, and the relationship between the two, who were thought to be lovers, remains ambiguous, and they come to Christmas with a stronger awareness of each other. Shirogane “wants to be perfect” and Kaguya seeks to be “not perfect”. This is a very “ordinary” love story by geniuses. First kiss never ends.

Kaguya-sama: Love is War: The First Kiss Never Ends anime film will follow the events of season 3.

Like the previous seasons, A-1 Pictures will be in charge of animating the movie. A-1 Pictures’ producer Kenshiro Yamada said that the events of arc in question will only take up about two hours of screen time and it made sense for it to be made into a movie.

The key cast from previous seasons will be returning to reprise their role in the movie.

The concept of the official fan book is “Invite fans to the ‘graduation party”.

In addition to illustrations contributed by more than 20 artists, including Norio Sakurai, Kenjiro Hata, Masakazu Katsura, Kentaro Yabuki, and Mengo Yokojari, there are also four conversations between Akasaka, Katsura, Hiroyuki Nishimori, Aoi Koga, Shin Furukawa, and Enako, who are voice actors in the anime.

It also includes Akasaka’s newly written novel “Ishigami Yuu wa sentai“, secret names, setting materials, color illustrations, and more.

Kaguya Sama: Love Is War is a manga series written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka. It began serialization in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Miracle Jump in May 2015 and was transferred to Weekly Young Jump in March 2016.

The manga’s final chapter was published on Nov 2, 2022.

A 12-episode anime television series adaptation by A-1 Pictures aired in Japan from January to March 2019. A second season aired from April to June 2020. An OVA episode was released in 2021. Kaguya Sama Season 3 .aired on April 8, 2022.
