Kaguya Sama To Receive A New Anime

The format of the new anime is yet to be decided and will be revealed later on.

The official website and Twitter for Kaguya-Sama confirmed that the series will be receiving a new anime adaptation. However, the format of the anime is yet to decided and will be revealed later on.

The series is also celebrating the end of season 3 with a “Kaguya Day” project. The project consists of the staff and cast looking back at the workings of the previous seasons. The event will be conducted for 24 Hours.

The final episode of Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai -Ultra Romantic- aired on Friday, June 24. It was an hour long episode, a first of its kind for the series.

The third season of the anime aired on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV and Tochigi TV starting April 9. Along with these, the series also aired on MBS, RKB, and TeNY. The streaming site Abema is also streaming the series.

Crunchyroll simulcasted the series and is also streaming the English dub for the same.

A special advanced screening was held in US at Aratani Theater in LA and at Japan Society in New York by Aniplex of America.

The opening theme song for season 3 “GIRI GIRI” was performed by Masayuki Suzuki and Suu. The ending theme song “Heart wa Oteage” was performed by Airi Suzuki.

Kaguya Sama: Love Is War is a manga series written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka. It began serialization in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Miracle Jump in May 2015 and was transferred to Weekly Young Jump in March 2016.

The manga officially entered the final arc in the 45th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump. It currently has 17 million copies in circulation.

A 12-episode anime television series adaptation by A-1 Pictures aired in Japan from January to March 2019. A second season aired from April to June 2020. An OVA episode was released in 2021.

The anime also got its first ever special exhibition starting April 29, 2022, to celebrate the release of Season 3.
