Among the most anticipated events from Japanese publishing giant Shueisha, “Jump Festival” is one of the most anticipated an-manga events for otakus all over the world. To celebrate that joy once again, the 38th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that Shueisha will hold the Jump Festa ’22 event as both an online and in-person event.
The event Jump Festa takes place regularly in December, but this time Shueisha is going for a Hybrid take-it will have both an online and a face-to-face formula.
The event will feature the return of the “Jump Festa Island” experience via a special smartphone app, although it will only stream some of the stage presentations from the event.
In addition, the Weekly Shonen Jump franchises which have confirmed Super Stages (to expect important announcements) are:
- One Piece
- Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
- Jujutsu Kaisen
- My Hero Academia
- Dr. STONE
New stages for more series include:
- Black Clover
- Undead Unluck
- MASHLE
- Ayakashi Triangle
- Haikyu!!
- ONE PIECE’s Knowledge King
The in-person event will take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, with tickets available via lottery and with limited attendance. The 38th issue of the magazine stated the situation might change again, looking at the spreading rate of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
Last year’s event, Jump Festa ’21, took place as an online-only event on December 19-20.
Shueisha usually hosts the event in Tokyo each year, and the event features booths, game demos, and stage presentations for popular Shueisha franchises. The event usually reveals news about manga, anime, stage plays, and video games.
More information will be released soon.
