The official website of upcoming TV anime Jujutsu Kaisen released a new visual as part of its celebration. The visual depicts Yuji Itadori and Sukuna, who is also known as the double-faced spectre.
Jujutsu Kaisen is an adaptation of Gege Akutami’s manga of the same name and will premier in Japan in October 2020, unless it gets delayed due to the ongoing effects of the novel coronavirus pandemic. A new PV for the anime was released recently by the production committee.
The trailer has given hopes to fans with its unique blend of slick action, comedy and its creepy horror imagery.
The anime will be directed by Sunghoo Park (Garo, God of Highschool) at MAPPA studios. Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan, Mob Psycho) will handle the script for the series while . Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Yoshimasa Terui, and Arisa Okehazama will be in charge of the music. Character designs will be under Tadashi Hiramatsu (Parasyte: The Maxim, Yuri on Ice).
Jujutsu Kaisen was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 5, 2018. The individual chapters are collected and published by Shueisha, with ten tankōbon volumes released as of March 2020. The plot follows Yuji Itadori, who becomes the host to a powerful curse which is unknowingly unleashed by the occult club of which Yuji is a part of.
